Privacy Policy
Effective Date: May 28, 2026 | Last Updated: May 28, 2026
RecallReady LLC ("RecallReady," "we," "us," or "our") operates the RecallReady website and related services (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your information when you use our Service.
By using RecallReady, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly:
- Email address — collected when you join our waitlist or create an account. We use this to send you recall alerts, service updates, and occasional marketing communications.
- Household profile data — such as product categories you track, dietary restrictions, or pet information, when you provide it through the Service.
Information collected automatically:
- Usage data — pages visited, features used, time spent, and interactions with the Service, collected via Google Analytics.
- Device and browser information — browser type, operating system, IP address, and referring URLs.
- Cookies and tracking technologies — we use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Service, analyze usage, and serve relevant advertising on the free tier. You may disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not function properly.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To send FDA recall alerts relevant to your household profile
- To operate, maintain, and improve the Service
- To communicate with you about your account, updates, and new features
- To display advertising on the free tier of the Service
- To analyze usage patterns and improve user experience
- To comply with legal obligations
- To detect and prevent fraud or misuse of the Service
3. Advertising
The free tier of RecallReady may display third-party advertisements. These advertisers may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your interests. We do not control the data practices of third-party advertisers. You may opt out of interest-based advertising through industry tools such as the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out.
4. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personally identifiable information. However, we may share information in the following circumstances:
- Anonymized demographic data: We may share or license aggregated, anonymized demographic data — data that cannot be used to identify you personally — with consumer packaged goods (CPG) advertisers and research partners. This data may include general household type, product category preferences, and geographic region, but never your name, email address, or other identifying information.
- Service providers: We share data with trusted third-party vendors who help us operate the Service, including Formspree (email collection), Google Analytics (usage analytics), and future payment processors. These providers are contractually bound to use your data only to provide services to us.
- Legal compliance: We may disclose information when required by law, court order, or governmental authority, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of RecallReady, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or substantially all of our assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
5. Third-Party Services
RecallReady uses the following third-party services that have their own privacy practices:
- Google Analytics — usage tracking. See Google's Privacy Policy.
- Formspree — email form processing. See Formspree's Privacy Policy.
- openFDA API — all recall data is sourced from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's public database. No personal data is transmitted to the FDA.
6. Data Retention
We retain your email address and account data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you request deletion of your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
7. Your Rights and Choices
